Position’s Contributions to Work Group: 

As an Engineering Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting engineering ECM technical leads with various tasks such as field returns, New Product Introduction (NPI) testing, and other activities essential for the team’s success. Your contributions will help ensure the quality and functionality of our products. Additionally, you’ll be involved in performing some quality data analysis to support decision-making processes. 

Education & Experience Required: 

  • Associate’s degree in engineering technology or related field is required. We will also consider candidates with a two-year technical certification, particularly if it’s focused on electronics. 
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience is required. 
  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), or related fields will be considered as having two years of experience. 

Skills Required: 

  • High-level understanding of electronics, including terminology and the ability to identify components. 
  • Experience with electronics testing tools, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermal ovens, and more. 
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics. 
  • Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science, particularly focused on electronics. 
  • Creative thinking to contribute innovative ideas to problem-solving.

Electrical Engineer

Location: Mossville, IL (Hybrid) 

Pay Range: $65,000 – $78,500 

 

Overview: 

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Mossville, IL. This position holds product line responsibility for a diverse portfolio of wire harness products used in machines and engines. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in establishing supply strategies for different product teams, working closely with engineering and commercial teams across various business units. We are looking for an individual with strong project management and communication skills who can effectively navigate cross-functional collaborations. 

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and troubleshooting electrical hardware utilized in a wide array of engine and machine systems. This encompasses new product development, technology selection, requirements definition and verification, supplier identification, component validation, project management, production support, cost reduction initiatives, and component life-cycle management. Some activities may involve collaboration with suppliers, including manufacturing plan and process development. You will be tasked with analyzing design challenges and implementing effective solutions. 

You will work closely with Engine and Machine System/Subsystem product teams to understand application requirements and performance needs. This role may involve significant project ownership with a focus on successful project delivery. 

Typical Task Breakdown: 

  • Lead a team responsible for managing a portfolio of harness products 
  • Engage in practical product design and problem-solving, including concept development and feasibility studies 
  • Develop and execute development plans in alignment with product group timelines 
  • Maintain a holistic perspective on quality, product cost, and risk 
  • Drive product cost improvements and consolidation plans where applicable 
  • Ensure completion of all L2/L1 NPI and APQP process elements within the NPI workflow scope 
  • Act as a development team lead, collaborating with system teams, wire harness component teams, plant locations, suppliers, and purchasing to meet development commitments 
  • Plan and coordinate product testing as needed to meet program requirements 
  • Coordinate supplier evaluations, production readiness reviews, and other essential supplier development activities 

 

Interaction with Team: 

As the Electronic Components and Harness Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and effective communication. You will be required to communicate with different levels of management, conduct concept reviews, provide technical and business updates, and collaborate with team members across various global locations. 

 

Work Environment:

Education & Experience Required: 

  • Minimum BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Industrial, or Agricultural Engineering from an accredited college or university 
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, including 2 years related to electrical systems and harness design/manufacturing, combined with 2 years of experience working with electrical component or harness suppliers 
  • An applicable Master’s Degree will be considered as two years’ experience

Controls Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Pay Range: $90,000 – $118,000

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing hardware and software for projects related to generator paralleling switchgear and controls. Your expertise in PLC programming, electrical schematic design, switchgear and panel layouts, electrical testing, and bill of materials creation will contribute to the successful completion of projects.

 

Typical Task Breakdown:

  • Develop PLC programs for generator paralleling switchgear and controls systems.
  • Design electrical schematics for various components and systems.
  • Create switchgear and panel layouts for efficient operation and space optimization.
  • Conduct electrical testing of switchgear and controls to ensure proper functionality.

Work Environment: You will work in a dynamic environment that combines both office and manufacturing settings. The position allows for a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and two days of remote work (Monday and Friday), unless required to be on-site.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field is required.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience is necessary for this role.
  • Master’s or above projects or internships will be considered toward the experience requirement, but durations must be specified on resumes.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming is essential for this role.

Mechanical Engineer

  • Create sketches, engineering drawings, and perform necessary computations to support the design and testing process.
